Are Farmers Finally Getting Debt Relief? Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Announces Major Crop Loan Waiver

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has announced a Rs 2,044 crore crop loan waiver for farmers who borrowed from cooperative banks, fulfilling a key election promise. Under the new policy, marginal farmers will receive a full waiver for loans up to Rs 50,000, while larger farmers are entitled to a flat relief of Rs 5,000.
